INFO:
This morning, in front of the first trans man ever elected to the Manitoba Legislature, four Members of the PC Caucus got up on the House floor and voted against our NDP colleague Logan Oxenham’s Bill 208 — The Two-Spirit and Transgender Day of Visibility Act. Four PCs voted against this bill and AGAINST trans and two-spirited Manitobans, and even more abstained from the vote entirely; including some who aspire to be the leader of their party. This is more than a vote against a bill. It’s a vote against Manitobans’ humanity. It’s a vote against every person trying to live as their authentic self. It’s a vote against protecting trans kids and letting them grow into the adults they deserve to be. It’s a vote against real people in the very families, neighbours, and communities they’ve been elected to represent. It’s disgusting. And yes, that’s me saying such in the video. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. This PC Party shows us who they are again and again and again and again.
